Jared Gilman is an American actor who gained recognition for his role as Sam Shakusky in the 2012 film Moonrise Kingdom. He secured this part at the age of 12, which led to a nomination for a Young Artist Award in 2013. Gilman also appeared in the 2016 film Paterson, sharing the screen with Kara Hayward. In addition to acting, he has scripted, acted in, and edited his own short action videos. His recent work includes a role in Susie Searches (2023).
