James Remar is an American actor who portrayed Ajax in The Warriors (1979). He has appeared in various significant films, including 48 Hrs. (1982) as Albert Ganz, The Cotton Club (1984) as Dutch Schultz, and Mortal Kombat: Annihilation (1997) as Lord Raiden. In addition to his film work, Remar has had notable roles on television, such as Harry Morgan in Dexter (2006-2013) and its sequel Dexter: Resurrection (2025-present). His other film credits include RED (2010), Blade: Trinity (2004), and Pineapple Express (2008). Remar was originally cast as Corporal Hicks in Aliens (1986) before being replaced.
