James Ransone is an American actor who portrayed Ziggy Sobotka in the series The Wire. He gained recognition for his performances in Generation Kill (2008) as Cpl. Josh Ray Person and in the horror franchise Sinister, appearing in both Sinister (2012) and its sequel Sinister 2 (2015). Ransone also played the adult Eddie Kaspbrak in It Chapter Two (2019) and starred as Max in The Black Phone (2022). His filmography includes roles in Inside Man (2006) and Broken City (2013). Ransone's work in Tangerine (2015) further demonstrated his range as an actor.
