James Purefoy is an English actor who portrayed Mark Antony in the HBO series Rome (2005). He has played notable roles such as Nick Jenkins in A Dance to the Music of Time, Joe Carroll in The Following, and Solomon Kane in the film of the same name. Purefoy also featured as Lord Phillipe de Clermont in the second season of A Discovery of Witches and starred as Laurens Bancroft in the Netflix series Altered Carbon. His film credits include an uncredited role in V for Vendetta and a main role as Captain Gulliver Troy in the series Pennyworth.
