James Moontasri is a retired German-born American mixed martial artist who competed in the Welterweight division. He achieved notable success in taekwondo, earning a silver medal at the 2007 Pan American Games and being named the 2007 USA Tae Kwon Do Male Athlete of the Year. Moontasri is a two-time USA Tae Kwon Do National Champion and holds a Brown Belt in Jiu Jitsu. In addition to his martial arts career, he has ventured into acting, with a role in The Smashing Machine (2025).
