James Faulkner is a British actor who made his film debut as Josef Strauss in The Great Waltz (1972). He has appeared in a variety of films, including Zulu Dawn (1979), where he played Lt Teignmouth Melvill, and both Bridget Jones films, portraying Uncle Geoffrey. Faulkner's television credits include playing Herod in the 1976 adaptation of I, Claudius, and Stapleton in Granada's The Hound of the Baskervilles (1988). He also voiced Severus Snape in the video game adaptation of Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince. In recent years, he appeared in Atomic Blonde (2017) and Underworld: Blood Wars (2016). Faulkner portrayed Baron Mullins in the television series Covington Cross.
