James Callis is a British actor who portrayed Dr. Gaius Baltar in the re-imagined Battlestar Galactica miniseries and television series. He also played Bridget Jones' best friend in Bridget Jones's Diary (2001) and its sequel, Bridget Jones: The Edge of Reason (2004). In 2010, he became part of the cast for the Syfy series Eureka. Callis appeared in the film Break Even (2020).
