James B. Sikking is an American actor who portrayed Lt. Howard Hunter in the NBC series Hill Street Blues during the 1980s. He also appeared as Dr. David Howser in the ABC series Doogie Howser, M.D. and played Captain Stan Jonas in the CBS drama Brooklyn South. Sikking's film debut occurred in 1955, and he appeared in notable films such as The Competition (1980), Outland (1981), Up the Creek (1984), and Star Trek III: The Search for Spock (1984). In addition to his film work, he lent his voice to General Gordon in the animated series Invasion America (1998). Sikking's son is actor Andrew Sikking.
