Jagdeep is an Indian actor known for his comedic performances, notably as Soorma Bhopali in Sholay (1975). He began his career as a child artist in films such as Ab Dilli Door Nahin and later transitioned to adult roles, becoming well-known for his work in horror films produced by the Ramsay Brothers. His filmography includes titles like Purana Mandir (1984), Veerana (1988), and Andaaz Apna Apna (1994), where he portrayed Salman Khan's father. Jagdeep also directed a film featuring his character Soorma Bhopali. He is the father of actors Naved Jaffery and Jaaved Jaffrey.
