Jada Pinkett Smith is an American actress who made her film debut in the 1993 drama Menace II Society. She gained recognition for her roles in various films, including The Nutty Professor (1996), Set It Off (1996), and the Matrix series with The Matrix Reloaded (2003) and The Matrix Revolutions (2003). Pinkett Smith lent her voice to characters in the Madagascar franchise, appearing in Madagascar (2005), Madagascar: Escape 2 Africa (2008), and Madagascar 3: Europe's Most Wanted (2012). In addition to acting, she is a singer-songwriter and co-founded the metal band Wicked Wisdom in 2002. Alongside her husband, Will Smith, she established the Will and Jada Smith Family Foundation to support inner-city youth.
