Jack Starrett is an American director and actor who played the role of Gabby Johnson in the 1974 film Blazing Saddles. He portrayed the brutal deputy Galt in the 1982 action film First Blood. Starrett frequently appeared as a tough police officer in various films, including The Born Losers and Hells Angels on Wheels, both released in 1967, as well as Angels from Hell (1968). He directed films such as Run, Angel, Run (1969) and Nam's Angels (1970). He is credited as Claude Ennis Starrett, Jr. in some of his works.
