Jack Purvis was a British actor who portrayed various alien creatures in the original Star Wars trilogy. He appeared in Terry Gilliam's fantasy films, including Time Bandits (1981), Brazil (1985), and The Adventures of Baron Munchausen (1988). Purvis, who was a dwarf, often took on roles that required actors of short stature. His filmography includes a notable role in Star Wars (1977). Later in life, he became quadriplegic following a car accident.
