Jack Nicholson is a retired American actor who won three Academy Awards for his performances in One Flew Over the Cuckoo's Nest, As Good as It Gets, and Terms of Endearment. He has received 12 nominations throughout his career, making him one of only two actors to be nominated for an Academy Award in every decade from the 1960s to the 2000s. Nicholson has also won seven Golden Globe Awards and was honored with a Kennedy Center Honor in 2001. His notable films include Batman (1989), A Few Good Men (1992), and The Shining. He was awarded the American Film Institute's Life Achievement Award in 1994.
