Jack Hickey is an award-winning Irish actor and director who graduated from the Gaiety School of Acting in 2010. He gained recognition for his role as Matt in the long-running series Emmerdale. Hickey has appeared in notable television series such as Game of Thrones and Penny Dreadful, as well as in films like Mary Shelley and Sea Fever (2020), where he starred alongside Hermione Corfield. His directorial debut, Cynthia, received accolades at the Galway Film Fleadh and the Irish Film Festival in London, and was long-listed for the 92nd Academy Awards. In 2022, he portrayed Richard II, Duke of Normandy in the Netflix series Vikings: Valhalla.
