Ian Whyte is a British actor who played the role of the Predator in AVP: Alien vs. Predator (2004). Standing at 7'1", he transitioned from a successful basketball career to acting after responding to a casting call for the film. Before his film debut, Whyte had a notable sports career, representing his country 80 times and winning championships across Europe, including a domestic treble with F.C. Porto in 1997. Following his work on AVP, he doubled for the character Madame Maxime, portrayed by Frances De La Tour, in the Harry Potter franchise. Whyte's collaborations include working with Oscar-winning special effects artists Alec Gillis and Tom Woodruff Jr.
