Hugo Weaving is an English actor who gained prominence with his role as Douglas Jardine in the Australian television series Bodyline (1984). He rose to international fame through significant performances in films such as The Matrix trilogy (1999-2003), V for Vendetta (2005), and Captain America: The First Avenger (2011). Weaving has received six Australian Academy of Cinema and Television Arts Awards and was honored as an Honorary Officer of the Order of Australia. His extensive work includes voice roles in Babe (1995) and the Transformers series as Megatron (2007-2011).
