Homayoun Ershadi is an Iranian actor who starred as Baba in The Kite Runner (2007). He began his acting career later in life after studying architecture in Italy and initially working in that field. Ershadi gained prominence after being selected by renowned Iranian New Wave director Abbas Kiarostami for the lead role in Taste of Cherry. His unique presence, characterized by an expressionless demeanor and a monotonous voice, lends an intellectual quality to his characters.
