Hidetaka Yoshioka is a Japanese actor who won the Japan Academy Award for Best Actor in 2006 for his role in Always - Sunset on Third Street. He gained fame as a child actor, notably portraying Tora-san's little nephew in the Otoko wa Tsurai yo series. His filmography includes significant works such as Akira Kurosawa's Rhapsody in August (1991) and Madadayo (1993). In addition, he starred in the animated films Buddha: The Great Departure (2011) and Buddha 2: The Endless Journey (2014). Yoshioka also appeared in the TV drama Dr. Koto Shinryojo. He was previously married to actress Yuki Uchida from 2002 to 2005.
