H.E.R. is an American R&B singer-songwriter who made her acting debut in the Disney musical special Beauty and the Beast: A 30th Celebration. She has received numerous accolades, including an Academy Award, a Children's and Family Emmy Award, and five Grammy Awards. H.E.R. starred as Mary "Squeak" Agnes in the 2023 film adaptation of The Color Purple, which earned her a nomination alongside the cast at the Screen Actors Guild Awards and a win at the NAACP Image Awards. She also appeared in YES DAY (2021).
