Harry Shum Jr. is a Costa Rican-American actor who played Mike Chang in the television series Glee (2009–2015). He gained recognition for his role as Magnus Bane in Shadowhunters (2016–2019), earning a Screen Actors Guild Award for his performance in Glee. His film credits include Step Up 2: The Streets (2008), Crazy Rich Asians (2018), and All My Life (2020). Shum also appeared in Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon: Sword of Destiny (2016) and Love Hard (2021). He won The Male TV Star of 2018 at the E! People's Choice Awards for his work in Shadowhunters.
