Harold J. Stone is an American character actor who made his film debut in The Blue Dahlia (1946). He gained recognition for his performances in notable films such as The Harder They Fall (1956), Alfred Hitchcock's The Wrong Man (1956), and Spartacus (1960). Stone was also a familiar face on television, with over 150 guest appearances across various series from the 1950s to the early 1980s, including The Twilight Zone and Hogan's Heroes. In addition to his screen work, he directed several off-Broadway and Broadway productions. Stone received an Emmy nomination for Outstanding Single Performance by an Actor in a Leading Role for his work in The Nurses.
