Hara Patnaik was an influential Indian actor, director, and screenplay writer who made his acting debut in the film Jivan Sangram in 1984. Over his prolific career, he appeared in more than sixty Odia films and directed around nineteen feature films, significantly shaping the Odia film industry. His notable performances include roles in commercial successes such as Sahari Bagha, Jor Jaar Mulak Tar, and Suna Chadhei, while his directorial works include major hits like I Love You and Barsa My Darling. Patnaik's contributions earned him numerous state-level awards and he is remembered for mentoring future stars like Anubhav Mohanty and Sabyasachi Mishra. He acted in Mastan (2004).
