Haluk Bilginer is a Turkish actor who won the Best Actor award at the 47th International Emmy Awards for his performance in Şahsiyet (2018). He gained recognition for his role as Mehmet Osman in the long-running television series EastEnders during the 1980s. Bilginer has appeared in various films, including the comedy Ishtar (1987), where he portrayed a villainous guerrilla leader, and Buffalo Soldiers (2001), in which he played a Turkish Mafioso. He also featured as Doctor Sartain in the horror film Halloween (2018) and took on the lead role in the series The Turkish Detective (2023). Bilginer will appear in the film Maria (2024).
