G.W. Bailey is an American actor who made his film debut in A Force of One (1979). He began his career in local theater before moving to California, where he appeared in television series such as Starsky and Hutch (1975), Charlie's Angels (1976), and CHiPs (1977). Bailey played the role of Luther Rizzo in the series M*A*S*H (1972-1983). After a period away from academia, he returned to Texas and earned a Bachelor’s degree in Fine Arts Theatre from Southwest Texas State University in 1994. He served as the Artist in Residence for the 1999-2000 school year.
