Gulshan Bawra was an Indian songwriter and actor who composed nearly 240 songs throughout his career. He collaborated with prominent music directors such as Kalyanji Anandji, Shankar Jaikishan, and R. D. Burman. His notable works include 'Mere Desh Ki Dharti' from Upkaar (1968) and 'Yaari Hai Imaan Mera' from Zanjeer (1974), both of which earned him the Filmfare Best Lyricist Award. As an actor, he appeared in films including Agar Tum Na Hote (1983).
