Gregory Sierra was an American actor who played Julio Fuentes in Sanford and Son. His career began on stage with the National Shakespeare Company and the New York Shakespeare Festival before transitioning to television in the late 1960s. Sierra became a familiar face through roles such as Detective Sergeant Chano Amengual on Barney Miller and appearances in series like The Flying Nun and Miami Vice. His film work includes notable titles such as Beneath the Planet of the Apes, Papillon, and The Towering Inferno. He appeared in Vampires (1998).
