Goran Višnjić is a Croatian-born American actor who made his American film debut in "Welcome to Sarajevo" (1997). He gained fame for his portrayal of Dr. Luka Kovač on the television series ER. Višnjić has appeared in various notable roles, including Erik the Red in Netflix's "Vikings: Valhalla," Garcia Flynn in NBC's "Timeless," and Dragan Armansky in "The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo" (2011). His film credits also include "Practical Magic" and the recent "Hellraiser" (2022). Višnjić's stage performance as Hamlet at the Dubrovnik Summer Festival earned him three national Best Actor awards. He has collaborated with several directors and is active in film and television.
