Gitanjali Rao is an Indian filmmaker who directed the animated feature film Bombay Rose (2019). She holds a Bachelor of Fine Art from Sir J.J. Institute of Applied Art in Bombay and gained experience in animation and filmmaking through practical work. Her independently produced animated shorts, including Blue, Orange, Printed Rainbow, Chai, and TrueLoveStory, have been presented at over 150 international film festivals, earning more than 30 awards. Rao's notable works in feature films include October (2018) and Bombay Rose (2019).
