Gillian Anderson is an American actress who portrayed FBI Special Agent Dana Scully in the sci-fi series The X-Files (1993–2002; 2016–2018). She gained prominence for her performances in various films, including The House of Mirth (2000), The Mighty Celt (2005), and The Last King of Scotland (2006). Her notable television roles include DSI Stella Gibson in The Fall (2013–2016) and Jean Milburn in Sex Education (2019–2023).
