George Clooney is an American actor and filmmaker who won an Academy Award for Best Supporting Actor for his role in Syriana (2005). He gained fame through his performance as Dr. Doug Ross in the NBC series ER (1994–1999) and established himself in film with roles in From Dusk till Dawn (1996), Ocean's Eleven (2001), and O Brother, Where Art Thou? (2000). Clooney has received numerous accolades, including two Academy Awards, a BAFTA Award, and four Golden Globe Awards. His directorial work includes The Ides of March (2011) and The Tender Bar (2021). He co-produced the Academy Award-winning film Argo (2012).
