George Clinton is an American singer, songwriter, bandleader, and music producer who was the principal architect of P-Funk. He was the mastermind behind the influential bands Parliament and Funkadelic during the 1970s and early 1980s and began a solo career in 1981. Clinton is recognized as a key innovator of funk music, alongside notable figures like James Brown and Sly Stone. He was inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 1997, alongside fifteen other members of Parliament-Funkadelic. Clinton lent his voice to the animated film Trolls World Tour in 2020.
