George Baker is an English actor who portrayed Tiberius in the television series I, Claudius. He appeared as Captain Benson in The Spy Who Loved Me (1977) and as Sir Hilary Bray in On Her Majesty's Secret Service (1969). Baker also featured in the film Chorabali (2016). Ian Fleming once viewed him as a suitable choice for the role of James Bond, although the part ultimately went to Sean Connery due to Baker's prior commitments. He played Inspector Wexford in The Ruth Rendell Mysteries.
