Gemma Jones is an English character actress whose film career began with her role in Sense and Sensibility (1995). She has appeared in notable films such as Bridget Jones's Diary (2001), the Harry Potter series (2002–2011), and Woody Allen's You Will Meet a Tall Dark Stranger (2010). Jones also featured in Rocketman (2019), Shanghai Knights (2003), Ammonite (2020), and Patrick (2018). Her performance in the BBC film Marvellous (2014) earned her the BAFTA TV Award for Best Supporting Actress in 2015.
