Fritz Weaver is an American actor who made his film debut in Fail Safe (1964). He portrayed Dr. Josef Weiss in the 1978 miniseries Holocaust, which earned him a Primetime Emmy Award nomination. Weaver's film career includes appearances in Marathon Man (1976), Creepshow (1982), and The Thomas Crown Affair (1999). He also had a significant presence on television, with performances in The Legend of Lizzie Borden (1975) and various science fiction series such as The Twilight Zone and The X-Files. He appeared in The Martian Chronicles and Demon Seed.
