Fredrik Skavlan is a Norwegian journalist and television personality who hosted Norway's most popular talk show, Først & sist, from 1998 to 2007. He gained significant recognition after winning the 1999 Norwegian Television Award for best host. In 2009, he began hosting his own show, Skavlan, which aired on both NRK and Sweden's SVT, making him the first Norwegian to win the Swedish Television Award for Best Television Host. His career also includes work as a cartoonist and journalist for various Norwegian newspapers, as well as illustrating children's books. Skavlan appeared in the film The Quake (2018).
