Fred Armisen is an American comedian and actor who co-created and starred in the IFC sketch series Portlandia. He was a cast member of Saturday Night Live from 2002 to 2013 and served as the bandleader for the 8G Band on Late Night with Seth Meyers from 2014 to 2024. Armisen has lent his voice to various animated films, including The Smurfs (2011), The Lego Ninjago Movie (2017), and The Super Mario Bros. Movie (2023). His film credits include roles in Easy A (2010), Zoolander 2 (2016), and Spin Me Round (2022). He received a Grammy nomination for Best Comedy Album for Standup for Drummers in 2019. Armisen has also won two Peabody Awards, one for Portlandia in 2011.
