Frankie Darro was an American actor who appeared in his first film at the age of six. He often portrayed teenagers due to his small stature and youthful looks, performing his own stunts in many cases. Darro gained recognition for his lead role in the 1933 film "Wild Boys of the Road," which provided a realistic depiction of youth during the Great Depression. He also starred in notable films such as "The Mayor of Hell" (1933) and "The Phantom Empire" (1935). Later in his career, he played "Robby the Robot" in the influential sci-fi film "The Forbidden Planet" (1956). Darro's work included a recurring role on "The Red Skelton Hour" (1951).
