Franka Potente is a German actress who gained critical acclaim for her role in the action thriller Run Lola Run (1998). She made her film debut in After Five in the Forest Primeval (1995) and later captured Hollywood's attention with performances in Blow (2001) and The Bourne Identity (2002), where she starred alongside Matt Damon. Potente also appeared in The Conjuring 2 (2016) and Anatomy 2 (2003). In addition to her acting career, she wrote and directed the silent comedy Der die Tollkirsche ausgräbt in 2006. She received Germany's top film and television honors for her work in Run Lola Run and Opernball.
