Frank Finlay is a British actor who received Academy Award, Golden Globe, and BAFTA nominations for his role as Iago in the 1965 film adaptation of Othello, directed by Stuart Burge. He is renowned for portraying Porthos in Richard Lester's adaptations of Alexandre Dumas' works, including The Three Musketeers (1974), The Four Musketeers (1975), and The Return of the Musketeers (1989). Finlay's extensive filmography includes notable titles such as The Longest Day, The Loneliness of the Long Distance Runner, and The Pianist. His television work earned him two BAFTA Awards for performances in The Death of Adolf Hitler and The Adventures of Don Quixote. He was appointed a Commander of the British Empire in 1984.
