Frank Albertson is an American character actor who made his film debut at the age of thirteen. He appeared in over 100 films and television shows from 1923 to 1964, including notable roles in It's a Wonderful Life (1946) as Sam Wainwright and Psycho (1960) as Tom Cassidy. Albertson also featured in Alice Adams (1935) and Room Service (1938), and served in the U.S. Army Air Forces during World War II. His television credits include portraying Theodore Roosevelt in My Friend Flicka and guest appearances on The Californians and Richard Diamond, Private Detective. One of his last roles was as the mayor in the musical Bye Bye Birdie (1963).
