François Berléand is a French actor who portrayed Tarconi, the honest police officer, in The Transporter (2002). He also reprised this role in its sequels, Transporter 2 (2005) and Transporter 3. Berléand gained recognition for his performance in My Small Business, which earned him a César Award for Best Supporting Actor in 2000. He has played various roles throughout his career, including a police inspector in Martin et Léa and military characters in films such as Captain Conan and The Prince of the Pacific. In addition to acting, Berléand published a book about his childhood titled Le fils de l'homme invisible in 2006.
