Franco Columbu is an Italian actor who appeared in The Terminator (1984). A former bodybuilder, he achieved notable success by winning the Mr. Olympia title in 1976 and 1981. Columbu developed a close friendship with Arnold Schwarzenegger after they met in 1965 during a competition in Munich, which led to his move to the United States. He featured in several films alongside Schwarzenegger, participating in minor roles throughout his acting career. Although he resided in the US since the 1970s, he frequently returned to Sardinia for vacations. Columbu's enduring friendship with Schwarzenegger lasted until his death.
