Frances Tomelty is a Northern Irish actress who played Lady Macbeth in the Old Vic's 1980 production of Macbeth. She has appeared in numerous television series, including Bergerac, Inspector Morse, and Midsomer Murders, as well as films such as Bellman and True (1987) and The Field (1990). Tomelty was previously married to Sting, whom she met while portraying the Virgin Mary in the rock-musical Rock Nativity. Her more recent work includes roles in Spooks and Casualty. She appeared in the film Accused (2023).
