Fernanda Montenegro is a Brazilian actress and writer who won the International Emmy for Best Actress for her role in Doce de Mãe (2013). She gained international acclaim for her performance in Central do Brasil (1998), which earned her nominations for both the Academy Award and Golden Globe. Montenegro has also received a Silver Bear at the Berlin Film Festival. In addition to her celebrated career, she appeared in I'm Still Here (2024).
