Farhan Akhtar is an Indian film director and actor who made his directorial debut with Dil Chahta Hai (2001). He co-founded the production company Excel Entertainment and gained recognition for his portrayal of modern youth in his films. Akhtar's notable acting credits include Zindagi Na Milegi Dobara (2011), Bhaag Milkha Bhaag (2013), and Dil Dhadakne Do (2015). He also directed the successful film Don (2006) and its sequel Don 2 (2011). In addition to his film work, he wrote lyrics for the soundtrack of Bride and Prejudice (2004).
