Ernest Borgnine was an American actor whose film career commenced in 1951 with a role in China Corsair. He appeared in notable films such as From Here to Eternity (1953), Marty (1955), and The Wild Bunch (1969). Borgnine portrayed the title character in the sitcom McHale's Navy (1962–1966) and later starred as Dominic Santini in the action series Airwolf (1984–1986). His extensive career also included roles in RED (2010) and BASEketball (1998). Borgnine won an Academy Award for Best Actor for his performance in Marty.
