Erik Menendez is an American man who, along with his brother Lyle, gained notoriety for the murder of their parents, José and Kitty Menéndez, in 1989. The brothers claimed they had suffered years of sexual abuse at the hands of their parents. Erik is currently serving a life sentence without the possibility of parole at Richard J. Donovan Correctional Facility in San Diego, California. He is featured in the film The Menendez Brothers (2024).
