Eric Jacobson is a puppeteer and Muppet performer who has served as the primary replacement for Frank Oz's characters since 2001. He began portraying Bert in 1997 and officially joined the cast as Bert and other Muppets in 2000. His work expanded to include Grover segments in 2002, and he also took on the roles of Miss Piggy, Fozzie Bear, and Animal in It's a Very Merry Muppet Christmas Movie (2002). Jacobson has performed in various productions, including The Muppets' Wizard of Oz (2005) and the pilot episode of Jack's Big Music Show. He is involved with Muppet productions, including Elmo and Mark Rober's Merry Giftmas (2025).
