Emmy Rossum is an American actress who starred as Fiona Gallagher in the television series Shameless (2011–2019). She began her career as a child performer with the Metropolitan Opera and made her film debut in Genius (1999). Rossum gained significant recognition for her role in Mystic River (2003) and later appeared in the sci-fi film The Day After Tomorrow (2004) and the adaptation of The Phantom of the Opera (2004) as Christine Daaé. Her filmography also includes Poseidon (2006), Dragonball: Evolution (2009), and Cold Pursuit (2019). In addition to acting, she has directed and produced television projects, including the series Angelyne (2022).
