Elizabeth McGovern is an American actress who earned an Academy Award nomination for Best Supporting Actress for her role as Evelyn Nesbit in Ragtime (1981). She made her film debut in Ordinary People (1980) while studying at Juilliard. McGovern gained prominence for her performance as Deborah Gelly in Sergio Leone's Once Upon a Time in America (1984).
